NW3 Hampstead, London – – St. Margaret’s School

US Marshall escort Ruby Bridges to and from school. Ruby Bridges was the first black child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans school desegregation crisis in 1960. Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_Bridges

In 1984,  St. Margaret’s School

Turned a hundred.

In my class

So I got to stand near the Mayor.
The local paper read,

“Girls’ school turns a Hundred

And celebrates diversity.”
